Some have written me and complained about not being able to read my article on the 116FHSS on Guns & Ammo web site. Guns & Ammo edited out about a little over 10% of my original text leaving out my information on the safety along with some photos. Ammo Guide has published my entire Review and it is an easy one document format for ease of reading and also ease of saving as a document. It is laid out on Ammo Guide as follows:

OVER ALL IMPRESSION:

BARREL ACCURACY:

ACCURACY EXAMPLES:

RECEIVER AND BOLT:

BOLT RELEASE:

ACCUSTOCK:

ACCUTRIGGER:

SAFETY:

MAGAZINE RELASE:

That link worked just fine, thanks.

Good, well-organized review with a lot of detailed photos. Your thoughts mirror mine about Savage - they've really come into their own the past ten years or so with very accurate, well built bolt action rifles. I don't own one, but I do admire them.

Regards, Guy

thanks Guy, I thought this would be an easier read for folks. Yes, Savage has really stepped up and delivered as of late.

I can love a rifle that shoots like a Savage..... I just can't love a rifle that looks like a Savage!

That was a very good read, thank you for reposting a new link. The pictures were outstanding as well.
