I already have a .338 Federal, Model 85 Sako and a .340 Mark V Bee. Both are shooters from the factory. I did put a Timney trigger in the Mark V Bee which brought 225 Nosler Partition from 2+ inch groups (always good groups with one flyer pulled) down to 3/4 inch 3-shot groups at 100 yards. The trigger creep on the Japanese trigger made me lose trigger control. The Timney trigger is set right and wonderfully creep free.
Otherwise, I would jump on a .338-06 in a minute. Good luck with that cartridge and barrel, it is a hummer.
