Custom Sako .280 AI - Almost Done - Suggestions Needed

Deviated from my original plan. Now my stock is a McMillan classic part black/light gray/dark grey. I am going to cerakote the barreled action. Which color would go best with this stock???

I definitely voted stainless. Light grey would be my second choice in that stock. However, it is hard to beat the look of stainless. Yours is very handsome, Woods.

Charcoal and grey would look great in that stock.
It also would provide a subtle contrast while helping to break up the outline. All are good but some, like the grey and charcoal, are better. :grin:

Cerrakote has a color called Graphite Black, and mixed up to produce a Satin finish is very nice.




With every Cerrakote heat cure color, you can actually get 3 different looks, depending on the amount of hardener you apply. I think they are Matte, Satin and Semi Gloss. While Matte sounds nice, I did one rifle and it is so matte it actually looks like coal..

ITH, I usually Cerakote the metal Graphite Black(GB) and the stock Sniper Grey (sometimes with GB or Coyote Tan highlights).
