I am reloading for a Ruger 77 Compact with a 16 1/2 barrel in .308 Wi.

For use in this rifle what is the difference between the 150 gr. Baliisitic Tip and the 150 gr. AccuBond???

Whitetail is this rifles primary function!!!

I have a friend who loads for the exact same rifle. He loads according to the data in the 5th edition manual. He uses the data for the 150 grain ballistic tip to load the AccuBond. Currrently, I think he is using 45 grains of RL15 and getting .75" groups at 100 with 150 grain accubonds.

Think of the AccuBond as a bonded core version of the Ballistic Tip.
It will retain more weight for deeper penetration.
For WT deer, either one will work nicely. Pick the one that shoots best in your rifle and go fill your freezer.
