Dinner after the kill

I came up with a tenderloin recipe this season that is quick, easy and has quickly become a favorite in my house.

I lay the tenderloin flat and make two rows of staggered slits approximately an inch long and an inch and a half apart. I then weave pieces of bacon through the slits. A little bit of steak seasoning and they're ready for the grill (weather permitting) or frying pan.

I have one strip of tenderloin left in the fridge from my last doe of the season. I'll try to get some pics to post up when it receives the treatment.

Tenderloin is good by itself, but everything tastes better with bacon (even Jello, tapioca pudding, peanut butter and jelly... well, you get the idea).

That does sound great. Need to get another deer just so I can try it out.

Scotty, sounds like as good an excuse as any to get after another deer.

I'll be out Saturday trying to get it done!
