I picked up 2 boxes of 30 cal 150 grain Nosler AccuBond bullets last week. Upon opening one box I found quite a few of the bullets to be discolored. I've never seen a Nosler or a bullet from any other manufacturer look like this. The bullets appear to be fine other than that. Just wondering if any one else has seen this?

I bought some an hour or so ago of 165 gr.NBTs .30 cal and saw the same thing when I opened the box .
I'm pretty sure it's from heat, I took them back to the store and exchanged them.
I bought 100 last week and decided to get 50 more.
All the same lot number, 2 boxes were fine but one box was burnt looking

I have bought lots of blemished bullets from Nosler and from Hornady. None of these slightly discolored bullets had anything wrong with their weight, length, or concentric value. For the money, they're a steal.

If you call Nosler Customer Satisfaction, they will make it right with you.

That's funny. Yep, 308 cal NBT in 165 grain had a bunch of them discolored. Looked like heat.
Interesting, but I didn't care too much. Although I do like my bullets to have that 'bling' factor. :grin:

Not an accuracy issue for those bullets to be off color?

Had a box of discolored 55gr Btips last year. Looked like oxidation and they got darker over time. Shot them up just fine and as accurate as the normal colored bullets.
Had an issue with 180gr 30 cal AccuBond tips breaking on some that were in old style packaging.. Nosler Rep sent me a free replacement box after I gave him the lot #. He also said place the tips of any unused bullets against a hard object and press.. If it breaks use for a fouling round. If it does not break it is safe to use for targets etc.
I suggest that if you have a question you call Nosler and give them the lot# in question and follow their advise.. Before I called Nosler I had a tip break off and jam my bolt in the action.. Since testing the tips as recommended I have had no issues with other lots or broken tips
