Shawn and Tannin are just great.
They helped me set up the rifle so when it gets here its ready to go out of the box and right to the range.

Ha, Ha, Didn't get a 7mm-08 or a 260 or a 284. Ordered a 300wsm :mrgreen: A buddy of mine went to the Tulsa gun show and brought back a model 7 in 7mm-08. He sold it to me (after begging) and i am working up loads for it. Varget @ 41 grains with 140 grain btips and Nosler brass seem to be the load. Sooo the order for the 300 wsm went in just before the sale ended. :grin: I also have the gun buying sickness problem that I must seek help for. Ah made later.

I tried Varget for the first time yesterday with the 140 grain AB's. I shot both 41 and 42 grains in a light weight rifle I had built off a Sako action with a #1 contour Shilen barrel. Got a really nice group with both loads, but was amazed at the velocity improvement over R15!! What are you getting for velocity and how long is the barrel on your &mm-08?

257 Ackley, i think its a 20 inch barrel. I haven't crony the puppy yet. It shoots good, and I'm happy with that. Will post crony results when my buddy gets back from the Texas Gun Show.

Well I will be leaving for the island of Lanai tomorrow for the State Muflon hunt. Going to try to get an Axis deer hunt in also. Going to take the Nosler. Hope I get lucky and have some pictures to post.

Got back from the hunt. Got two Muflon. One non-typical and a normal one. Both about half curl.
Didn't do well on the deer. The rifle shot great on Saturday, BUT I dropped it and it landed on the scope. Shoots to the left now. Will have to resight on Sunday.
