E-tip Reloading Data

When is Nosler going to make some published E-tip reloading data available? Maybe it's available and I don't know where? I live in the Republik Of California and need a non-load lead by July 1st. I purchased some 150 grain E-tips for my 30-06. I went to the Nosler manual and noted that the Max load for 150 grain pellets using IMR 4350 was 59 grains(leaded bullets). The Hornady manual says 59.5 grains. I dropped a couple of grains for my starting loads and increased in .5 grain increments. The best groups came with the loads at 59 grains (same result I previously got with 59 grain Hornady SSTs).

I hear people state that the E-tips should be used with lighter powder loads (one guy said 2 grains less), is this correct? I saw no signs of pressure on my casings as I built up to 59 grains.

Comments/guidance anyone?

Here is what was posted when I asked the same question a while back, although for another caliber, it will apply to you as well.

Yes, just by it's inherent design and being a none lead bullet would demand that one heed the Nosler info. Just because you do not see signs of pressure does not mean you are not above the max pressure. I would be careful because heat and humid conditions along with altitude and just a little difference in seating depth could really spike the pressures in your rifle. It is always better if you do not have equipment to measure pressure to not load above max. You are above max with your load according to Nosler and you need to be mindful of that fact for your own safety much less the rifle could in the future be damaged.

........sure would be nice to have load data to coincide with new bullet introductions????

Nosler is not the only "guilty" party here either.

I am sure they will do it as soon as they can.

I am planning to try E-tips in my 270 and in my Brother-in-law's 30 06. I am going to load the lightest charge in the Nosler manuel, and then chronograph that load. That will tell me where I stand pressure wise, and by chrographing each subsequent load, when I am reaching the other limits of pressure. Velocity doesn't lie. It is the most direct refletion of pressue.
