Experience w/ 64 gr BSB in 12" twisted 223?

I just got a mini Mauser in 223 w/ 12" twist & hoping I can get something put together for deer w/ 64 gr BSB.

I have RL15, CFE223, Benchmark, and IMR-4895.

Anyone with experience?

Eric, they shot fine out of my 12 twist Savage I used to own. They are shorter than the 60 Partition. You won't have any issues. I'm using H4895 for the 75 Hornady and 77 Sierra TMK and it works excellent. Seems like all three will work well.

I have a bunch of 55 gr GMXs too but like the fact that I don't have to get the BSB screaming to perform properly.

Yup. Agree with that. Plan on trying the BSB in my little 8 twist 223. I love that sucker.

I have shot the 64 gr BSB in my Mini Mark X with the 1-12 twist and they shot fine, no evidence of keyholing.

Eric,

You should have no issues with the 64 gr BSB. It shot very well from a M700 VLS 1:14 twist 22-250 at 3372 fps. Recovered one in the 5th jug from 30 yds. In the 223 Rem, think you will get all of that.
