Well, I took the wife and both kids to the range yesterday with Brian and his family. It was a good day on the range. I can't see we got a ton accomplished shooting wise, but the women and kids had some fun snapping caps and we did get a little shooting in.

Here was one of Brian's loads for his 300RUM and 200gr AB in Nosler brass. Very slick rifle.

Brian managed to squeeze in some time with the 45-70 in order to get the zero kinda decent. (I think this is your target Brian?)

The highlight of my load work for the day was the Browning BLR 358 Win. I had some 225gr PT's loaded with W748. I tried these loads before and they shot well with the 225gr Sierra's, but I wanted to stick with PT's. This was 51gr's

This would have been one really good group, but the danged trigger on the Browning is pretty heavy and I just pulled the heck out of the third shot. I am going to load up again to reverify, but I think I found the one load to do it all in the 358. It is a very accurate rifle, but the triggers are really heavy and creepy.

Overall, it was another great day on the range thanks to Woodycreek and family. Scotty

That looks like a great day. I always enjoy seeing families at the range. I certainly encourage the ladies to join in shooting. There is usually no problem getting children to join in.

You don't have to force him to shoot, that is for sure. He eagerly takes anything you hand him and puts bullets down range! It makes it alot of fun. Scotty

Brandon has been doing very well with anything that Scotty and me give him to shoot.

And than you have an old chicken@$%t like me that doesn't want to get hurt by those big thumpers you hand me!

What a great example of family and friends!
You are a great family leader Scotty!

Great video of your son shooting the 338 too. Man that was a fast clang.

It is a ton of fun! I love to shoot as does Brian so I think that our family coming along makes it that much better.

I do have some 180gr loads for the 338WM. Just need a little time to see what they do. Should make for a nice set up for my son. I really think those 180's in the ABs would be pretty fearsome for my boy to carry. Heck I wouldn't mind trying them out either! Scotty

Scotty it sure is nice to see the whole team out there. I think it makes it that much more fun! Thanks for posting the photo's and video. Sites are nothing without pictures!

Your spot on David! Can't wait for the Fall! The boy starts Hunter Safety on the 27th. Can't wait for that. Hope he really hunts hard this year. Wanna see him with some more blood stripes. Scotty

Scotty, great family bonding. Is that a private range you got there? Kinda looks like one.

Way to go Scotty, you and Brian set the benchmark for the "Outdoorsman's family outing"!!

6mmRemmy is right, pics make it!!!

Scotty, that is so cool indeed. I really like that, good stuff when the family is together. Also that was good shooting they did.

Great to have that private range five minutes from my house. Makes it easier to get the family out for a few hours of fun and practice. I think it will cost me more now since the wife likes shooting rifles just as much as pistols. I let her shoot my 243AI on steel at 100 and 250 yards. She did great and wants to shoot rifles more.
