final zero 300 rum for elk season.

Rem 700 high tech customs break on factory 26" barrel. Vortex crossfire 2 6-18x44 bdc. Bought it earlier this year. And posted on it back then. The load is a 180 AB nosler brass fed 215 primer 95.0 gr rl25 with an oal of 3.660" which ended up being .127" off the lands. Talk about a jump.

The load is assuredly dialed in. I have no doubt that when elk get wind of the load and your shooting, they will be shaking.

It is deffinatly movin. It all kind of comes back to how load data numbers are more like guide lines. I think the speed may have to do with our altitude here in colorado. But has me jonesin for elk season. Now I'm comin down to the wire with my 270 load development with season 2 weeks away.

I hope so! Last 3-4 yra have been rough for elk. Its been so hot and dry that they Have not been moving from their summer locations until december. Last year I saw the biggest bull i have ever seen alive or mounted but could not get a shot due to a cow bullet proof vest. Counted 8x8. This year we spotted him during archery as well as last week and he is moving down from summer locations to lower elevations. We have had some cold weather and as of yesterday 1.5feet of snow in the high country. Hoping this is my year to get my shot at him. But during archery we also came accross another heard with a 10x11. Have not been tracking that heard as closely. But hopefully with winter moving in it will separate the bulls from the cows and then my hunting buddy and i can both get a monster

Good luck getting those big bulls.
You have the right rifle and load.

It will certainly be great to see you and your pard each connect with a great bull. We're all pulling for you.

Thanks guys. Everyday gets harder and harder to focus on work. As long as weather keeps comin I think we will have a good chance. Forcast says snow tonight into tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

You definetly have the right gun and load, now go get him!!!
