Picked her up last night.
Very very pleased not a mark on her and get this.... not a shot through her!

What a rush!

She is getting a 4.5x14x40mm AO B&C reticule and CDS.

Nice, that sounds like an awesome rifle Fotis. Looking forward to your range time with it..

Any idea for your first loads?

H4831 and RL25 with the 200 AB and 220 Sierra BT

Fotis, I am looking forward to the upcoming range report and photos.
It sound like you were able to pick up another gem . Good job Bud :!:

Blessings,
Dan

Those would be my first two picks as well! Thinking that older Remington should be a great one Fotis.

That is a great find, Fotis. It is one rifle that could easily qualify as a one-rifle-does-all for North America.

I am not 100% sure but I do believe it was made in the 1970's!

Will confirm tonight.

Ok I will post them again

That is one nice BDL Fotis. I love me some Winchesters, but that BDL is SHARP! Great grab on that one for sure.

That thing sure is in fine shape Fotis. That should bang-flop anything you point it at! Maybe you need to scope it up for your upcoming antelope hunt with Jim!! I'm just saying.

Fotis that is a beautiful as I call them working man's rifle. I believe that it will be a shooter as well and one of the best is going to be tinkering with it to make it that way.

Blessings,
Dan

Fotis, I have always had a bit if a man crush on the 8mm. That is one fine looking rifle. Can't wait to see some range pics. If I remember right Mr. Boddington (sp?) shot the best group of his life with a 8mm RM and some factory ammo. Hope you have the same luck.

I know I have read an article and saw a pic of the group group that he shot with hios 8mmRM, but for the life of me I can't seem to find it online. So if somebody knows better, feel free to put me in my place please.

Boddington shot the best group of his life with the 8mm rem mag. That is correct, but it was not factory.

His load was 80 gr H4831, fed 215 match, 220 Sierra boattail at 3100 fps. He did have a 28" pacnor tube on his Rem 700 though.

The 8mm Rem Mag was introduced around 1978, back when Remington made really nice rifles.
You done good Fotis!

Well according to their codes and serial # I have a 1978 new unfired 8mm rem mag rifle.

Very nice rifle sir,

Your post about the 8 and the comment about Boddington brought back memories of my father. We still have his old Mauser rifles in 9.3 x 74 Brenneke and 8 mm calibers but dont use them. But he sure did and loved them, as did Bodddington.

Congratulations on the rifle.

However I did want to ask if you were the same FOTIS that decided to reduce his inventory of rifles ?--Just joking sir LOL

Yup Aleena that was me

A very unstable but super nice GREEK!
