Finally recovered a barnes 120 TTSX in the 6.5 CM!

Managed to take a good six point this morning. Shot was roughly 120 yards steep quartering to me. Aimed for the high shoulder right about where it meets the neck. Watched the deer fall in the scope, honestly I don’t think it even twitched. Big bodied older six point which for some reason we have a lot of on this club. Bullet barely broke the hide right in front of the opposite hind leg. Beautiful mushroom also. Probably close to 3 ft of diagonal penetration I would guess.

Thanks! Even after taking two does with that load I was still somewhat worried with those bullets being to hard for Deer. That was a pretty tough test on a bullet this morning, so I’m definetly confident in them now.

That’s what my brother said after we cut it out lol. I probably wouldn’t trust them to expand at long range, but I figure they work just fine out to 300-350 yards expansion wise.
