I've noticed some "foreign stuff" inside the hollowpoint of some Nosler Custom Comp 223 Rem HPBT bullets that I just bought thru Nosler's website.

Here is a picture:

What is it? Will it affect the performance of the bullet? (Maybe it is "corn cob polishing media"????)

Here is a pic of the product number:

Many of them.... it is NOT easy to "rework" all the ones that is like that....

Since, if I poke it... most of the time, it fell back inside... I have to shake it again for it to show up in the tip again....

I wouldn't worry about it if it is JUST this one. :-(

I think it is just wax or polish Nosler uses to clean up the bullets after manufacture. I`ve seen the same thing once in Hornady 22 cal match HP bullets. I doubt it hurts any, I couldn`t see any difference in how they shot.

They seems to be "solid"... that's why I suspect that it may be corn cob polishing media...

I too would say it is a piece of tumbling media. Black hills HP ammo has it in the cavities too. Doesn't affect performance at all.
