From Oops To Awesome Call

Made a slate call in an Osage orange pot that just didn’t have the sound. I was going to take it apart and try copper. Using the heat gun to soften the glue, I got a little distracted and one point and made a charr mark. Rather than toss the pot I just broke out the mini butane soldering torch gave it a flame job all over and glued in a copper surface. She’s a talker and a looker. Neat side note about Osage orange is when your working it, it has a great coriander smell. If you were an early French explorer you would have preferred it for making bows and called it Bois d’ arc (wood of the arc)

I've hunted all over the west, from Alaska to Africa as well. Never spent much time on Thunder Chicken. Going to take it up just so I can buy some of your stuff!
