From the Department of Redundancy Department

Hey Dale. Haven't shot it yet, as I just got the scope (from Scotty) today, and I hope that the scope mount screw spacing on RUMs is the same as the smaller magnums, not the closer spacing of the .375s and up (though I suspect otherwise). Honestly, I bought this one as a donor for a future .404 Jeffery build. I've always thought the 7mm and .300 RUMs were a little over the top powder capacity-wise, yet now I find myself thinking about picking up a 7mm as an eventual donor for a .338 EDGE build.

Damn, I may need an intervention soon! :)

Man, that 300RUM in a M70 is a score Kurt! I think once you get that rifle all set up, you are going to like it too much to rebarrel it into anything other than a 300RUM. It might take you quite awhile to wear that barrel out anyhow! Scotty

Yeah, that's a dream rifle for sure... .300 H&H M70 Supergrade.

I posted this on another thread, but it sure fits into the repetitive redundancy theme here:

Anybody know where I can find a .308 Norma? (Just kidding Fotis. DO NOT start looking for me!)

Thanks, Rod.

Nah, I'm totally screwed buying bullets... .17CF, .204, .224 fast and slow, 6mm, .25, 6.5, .277, .284 fast and medium, all varieties of .308, and .35.

Well, crap. Now add 8mm to the list.
