Finally got this test done after two trips to the range. I thought it would be a one and done but not to be. First day tried at 100yds thinking this would be average hunting distance. Shot twice but bullets kept rising going through 2-3 jugs then over top of the others. Ran out of jugs.
Day 2 placed jugs at 50yds. 1st shot went through 3 jugs out the top. 2nd shot caught bullet in 4th jug with shrapnel in 3rd jug. This bullet doesn't hold together as well as the Speer 220gr. I did test it as well. It landed in 4th jug with shrapnel in 5th. Go figure 🤔. This is only one test. I ran it hard. Load was 58.0grs H4895 Fed 215 primer in RP case. Muzzle velocity was 2814 fps. Shot in a Remington 700 CDL 24 in barrel. Pictures show the set up, group and results. Hopefully I'll get to try it out on deer someday. Dan.

Thanks for the test Dan. I ordered a few of them up for my 350 Rem Mag. Looks like they'll be fine at the milder velocities it produces compared to your test. Should work well for everything up to moose. Will probably stick with the partitions when I'm targeting them specifically though. Speer producing the 220's again would be ideal though.

Dan,
Thanks for jugging those Furry 220's. 2800 fps is smokin'. I bet 2600 fps would tame them down a bit and they would still be the Hammer of Thor on deer and bears. You definitely have a potent load!

Jim, I agree with you on the lower fps. I wanted to see just how well this bullet held to together at the upper reaches so to speak. They'd wreak havoc on a deer for sure. Last year I only ran the Sierra 225gr at just over 2600.fps and it did great. Plan on trying these Fury bullets at a lower speed and see if they group decent as well. Dan.

Who makes these bullets ? Are you shooting a 350 or a whelen?
