Future additions to your collection

So many guns... so little time.

I'm working on a .223 bolt gun as we speak - I'll post picts when I've finished. In the mean time the list goes on and on.

.257 Weatherby
.375 Ruger African
Some version of a 6.5 - 6.5x284 or creedmor
A big 338 - 338 Rum or a custom 338x375 Ruger built on a W70 classic!?
Maybe a 35 Whelen - There is a nice 98 on G.B. right now

Kimber 1911 - carry pro ?
Walther P22
Ruger singlesix w/interchangable cylinders 22rf & 22wmr

A .224 supressor to use on all the .22's

I still need to finish my 280AI built on a Rem 700 and the 22-250AI built on a Rem 700 as well.

DrMike - I really like the 8x68s idea! 8) Alot of cool in that one - How about the AI version?

Scott

You could just send me a few dozen actions and stocks too and I will make all sorts of cool toys!

Sharps 45-120
M1 garand
Colt rail Gun 45acp
WSSM not sure which caliber yet
6 BR or 30 BR
Marlin Guide Gun 45-70
Rem 870 Marine Special
M40 308 Sniper Clone
Benelli Vinci
List goes on and on!

i think i am going to break down and buy a rifle under ten pounds. my smith has a used .284 baer he built a few years ago. I never owned a seven or a big game rifle that weighed less than twelve pounds so i may kill two birds with one stone. will be using a nightforce nxs as usual so i doubt i will get that second bird after all.

Nice birds, Jeff. Nightforce certainly makes nice glass. While heavy for a hunting rig, it is virtually indestructible and very clear. SE, you have a full blown case of the disease. I hope you are never cured as it is a fine and pleasant misery.

Man, Jeff, you okay buddy? A rifle under 10lbs and a 45-70!

Is the 284 Baer the 340 WBY Improved and necked down to 7mm?

yes it is scott you can use the 300 weatherby but my smith likes the 340 made by norma he said they are a little heavier and they dont make as many as they do the 300. im not sure if there is much difference but i used the 340 cases for my 308 baer. i tend to listen to experience.

How does it work? load it like an Ackley for fireforming loads and have at it? That has to be a screamer..

thats pretty much it neck it down load it heavy fire it run it through the full length sizer turn the neck and trim it if need be and your in business.

Well, I talked to Jim (JD338) last night, and he pointed out that I NEED a Marlin Guide Gun, and the rest of you enablers push anybody and everybody to Whelens and Guide Guns (and I already have a Whelen) so maybe I need to add that one, too.

I represent that, Kurt. I am not an enabler pushing anyone and everyone to own a Whelen--only those on this forum. The Marlin Guide Gun will be a great addition to any collection (especially extensive collections such as your own). The only thing better would be a Model 94 chambered in some honkin' cartridge (think .356). Now, go rectify that deficit and cease attributing ulterior motives to those of us who seek your welfare.

I'd love a .356, Mike, but I think you own them all!

There are still some M94 444 Marlins out there Kurt. One of those would surely scratch an itch!
