The 9.3x62 will do everything the 9.x74 will in a bolt gun. I consider it the 36 whelen improved. It shill outrun the whelen with 250s, And can run with the 375 h&h with the 300s

That 9.3x62 is very impressive with 286's and 320's. Seem's like it really run's right up close to the 375 when ran around 60-62K PSI..

I know I wouldn't turn one down in a nice rifle..

Just saw Mauser has a nice rifle in 9.3x62.. Looks like a well made rifle...

Price isn't out of this world, not cheap, but not too much more than others in the class..

I think you're good to go! I know I've got too danged many hunting rifles right now. Gaps or no.

There are no gaps if you're not missing them. As Guy said, you've got varmints, deer and elk pretty well covered. Anything else is gravy. I enjoy working with various cartridges, and I'm willing to pick up rifles to support that effort, but there are no gaps.

I am totally with you on this one. It looks to me that all Northa American game is covered. I myself have dad's old Browning BLR .308 and my old Win mod 70 30-06, and I can't find any gaps with just those two.

I thought it looked pretty nice. Chambered in a 7x64 as well.
