I alway thought the 8mm RM was/is underappreciated. I also think it would be one of the best as an elk round. But that's a pretty subjective statement, if not purely my opinion. It and 200 gr. NPT, I wouldn't need much else.

Don't worry Dubyam, the M700 and 8RM is a cool customer in my book. I wouldn't mind one myself someday.. Gotta start getting my son's/daughters/wife's rifles up to speed... Been slacking on them..
