I have the VX-3 1.75-6 and it works just fine on the Marlin. Kinda wish I went with the VX-3 2.5-8 instead.

Those are some fine looking weapons for sure.

I got all my reloading stuff in this weekend only to find out that I forgot to order a shell plate :x So it looks like it will be another week before I can shoot it.

You'll have a blast Jake. I really don't want alot of magnification on my lever guns, a high end of 4-6X is more than enough, the low end with field of view seems alot more helpful to me.
