Gun owners in CT engage in widespread civil disobedience

I fear this is part of what they want. If they can force open armed confrontation between gun owners and law enforcement they can ramp up their reaction using the “public safety” angle. It will give them an excuse to start a new ATF task force that will be a army to be used against the people of the US, complete with all the bells and whistles, drones in the sky, tanks on the ground, hoods ands masks. As conflict escalates they will start with executive orders instilling more and more gun control…..

If things progress in the wrong way we are leading down a road that could have serious implications on our future.

I think that's what they call...damned if you do, damned if you don't...

Myself...I've always preferred to go down swinging, as opposed to just laying down.

At this point...the best thing that could happen is if the state suspended enforcement of the new law until after SCOTUS rules on its constitutionality...which I'm fairly certain would be the end of the new law.

Have I got one for you guys. This morning on the News in Connecticut it was announced that plans to round up all the "illegal" weapons what weren't registered has been suspended when it was found out that 68 percent of the police officers in the state also own AR's and had no plans to register them. Included in the list of officers was a number of police chiefs. A large number of police officers also advised that they would not take part in the illegal act of rounding up said firearms. I'm sure the powers that be are in a quandary now.

Many of our county Sheriffs, here also have stated such, verbally and in the news media.

For the next episode. It appears that the gentleman who spoke before the powers that be in Connecticut telling them that he was not going to comply with their law and register his AR was approached and threatened by a police officer out of Branford, Ct. A little background on this officer indicated that he worked for the East Haven, Conn. police department and then transferred to Branford due to unresolvable issues that came up between him and the dept. The officer advised this gentleman that he couldn't wait for the order to go to his house and kick his door in. A complaint was filed with Branford PD and the officer was suspended with a possible discharge just around the corner. As a retired police officer with 22 years on the job it sounds to me like the officer really needs to find another line of work, more suitable to his disposition.

I've read elsewhere that this turned out to be completely bogus.

With the internet... Who knows?

And in writing.

The county Sheriff is an elected official, at least out here in the west, with CONSIDERABLE power. Many in our conservative central & eastern Washington have actually put it down in writing that they Will Not enforce what they see as unconstitutional gun registration & confiscation laws.

Guy, checked on it again to find out if it was valid or not and based on what I've been told by buddies on the job in Conn. it was accurate. Looking at my old hometown newspaper it does appear that any efforts at confiscation are dead in the water (for right now).

Hope you're right Charlie but since I've left Connecticut for Florida it seems that their looney bin has filled up with the overflow from New York City. Bloomberg came out yesterday and said in an interview to one of the news stations that he is going to outspend the NRA on his gun agenda. The next two elections are going to be a benchmark for the future of gun owners.

Thanks Doc. I've seen articles relating to your post in a couple of Conn. Newspapers but my feeling is that the libtards are trying to lowball certain aspects of what is going on.

This entire ball of wax is lowball human behavior, considering that Rastus Barry Gutshot is in charge. What should I expect?
