What's all of your take on this powder, heading in to buy some. Most likely be to late any way. Going to load some 150 grn ttsx for wife in 30-06.

It is one of the standard powders for the 30-06, especially in the M-1 garands where slower powders can damage the op rod.
Military used that burning rate for decades. It is an extreme powder and an accurate one.

I use quite a bit in the 358. It was a standard powder for the 30-06, as Fotis has noted.

I loaded 4895 in my 06 for years, now I use 4064 and 3031. Haven't decided which is best as yet. I also use 3031 in my 223, .308, 45-90, 45-70, and soon the Whelen. I am now down to 4 primary rifle powders. 3031, 4350, H-1000 and 4064, hope to phase out soon 4064 also. simplify is the word!!

H 4895 is an excellent propellant in the 30-06 with 150 gr bullets.

H4895 is a great powder and like some others said, it can work really well in alot of cartridges. It works just about as well at RL15 does for me. I always have a lb or two on the bench. Wished I could trim back like some of you all, but the tinkerer in me is hard to put down.

H4895 is also a cool powder for reduced loads as well. Looking forward to seeing how it works out for you. Scotty
