Anyone ever try H335 in a 7MM-08? Tried some with a 120 gr Sierra Prohunter and it shot really well. I forgot the target at deer camp, i’m Gonna load some more up and see what happens.
I tried H335 many years ago in the .308. Muzzle blast was very very loud and the muzzle flash was a sight to see even in broad daylight at high noon. Accuracy was quite good though. Gadzooks! That was way back in the mid 1970's.
H335 did work quite well in my .35 Whelen with 250 gr. bullets too. Both Hornady RN and SP were very accurate as was the 250 gr. Speer Hot Core.
Probably not much help but that's the extent of my experience with H335. I'm thinking that as you approach the top loads, you'll get the load blast and bright flash in that 7-08.

I tried it in 444 Marlin and it shot ok, thought i’d give a try in my 08 just to see what it would do. It doesn’t appear to be a powder you’d associate with the 7mm-08. I’ll post some results the next time I try more of it at the range.
Had a friend build a custom 7-08 on a 700 action with a 24" Pacnor about 20 years ago. He tried numerous 140 gr bullets with all kinds of different powders and just wouldn't shoot under 1.5-2" groups. Decided to try H335 that he already had for his 223 and because one of the old Nosler manuals indicated it as most accurate powder and thing shot 1/2-3/4" groups; no other changes!! Velocity was a little slower than other powders but it would stack them together!
Hogdon shows data for 7-08 & h335 from 100 gain all the way up to 162 grain bulles..
I used imr4350 & RE.17 in mine...4350 & 140 accubonds gave severel odd shaped clover leaf groups
In my opinion if I worked on it I think I could get the re17 to similar groups..
