Has anybody reloaded the 375 Ruger?

I had great success with Barnes 270 grain TSX and both H380 and IMR 4007 SSC. I did not load the AccuBond as the owner wanted a load developed around the TSX. The cartridge was easy to load for, however.

Yes, I load for the 375 Ruger. In my gun Ramshot Big Game works really well with the 260 gr AccuBond and 235 gr Speer. Two other friends have had great accuracy with RL 15 and 260 gr Noslers, one with the Partition and the other with the AccuBond. Lots of guys have done well with H 4350 as well, it seems there are a lot of powders that work well in the 375 Ruger. It is a great round, there are a few other guys that have 375 Ruger`s here that will likely chime in.

I use 75 gr R-15 w/260 Nosler. 2760fps out of a 20" Ruger hawkeye w/sub moa.
Hope this helps.

Great luck with Ramshot Biggame as well. Also IMR 4895 worked pretty good. the 260AB is a great bullet out of the 375R. I have also read several posts on RL-17 reporting very good velocity (2900 +), and good accuracy. Will be playing with this a good bit here in a few weeks.

I have a 375 Ruger but it is a rebarrel with a 24" Pac-Nor 3 groove so I should get more velocity than most. The gun was reamed with a standard reamer so no tight neck or short throat.

From the start I wanted to use RL17 because of the hype about it and it was just one step slower than RL15 which is the accepted speed for the 375 calibers. But there was a scarcity of loading data for the 375 Ruger or RL17 so I started low at 74 gr and worked up with the 270 gr TSX and 260 gr AccuBond

Never reached pressure signs; the cases all have been reloaded at least once more so they hold primers, no shiny spots on the case heads and no hard bolt lifts. Here is a pic of the case heads on the 86.5 gr loads

This rifle seems to like the 270 gr TSX's

Woods,

That is some awesome shooting and data - thanks so much.

From hornady.com the 260 AccuBond flying at 2996fps produces 5182 ft-lb at the muzzle and 2486 ft-lb at 500 yards; that is an incredible load.

Woods,

That is a fine load and some great shooting. Most of the 375 Rugers I've handled shoot quite well.

And has the trajectory of a 130 gr bullet out of a 270 winchester!

Anyone have any runaway Elephants in their neighborhood, give me a call!
