I bought an E-1 3-9 with the red dot feature, and it is very clear with the red dot being very round, with the dot turned off you have a small black target dot reticule. It's a great scope for low light conditions when you have trouble picking up the cross hairs.
I have it mounted on my 35AI.

I don't know if it's still on sale, but recently Midway had the Fullfield E1 6.5-20x50 on sale for $179, regular $299. I jumped on that for my new 6.5 CM Franchi.

I've not owned a Burris but from the comments I need to take a look them. My criteria for a good scope is that the glass is clear edge to edge and reticle focus is sharp , it provides sufficient eye relief, it tracks well and it HOLDS ZERO. Over the years I've had scopes that looked good when new, but after time wouldn't track or hold zero well. Can you guys share how long you've been using the Burris Fullfield E1 and what caliber is it mounted on? I did see that Truck Driver has it on a .35 Whelen Ack Imp.

Mine is on a .243, and I've had it on a 6.5 CM before I got the 6.5-20x scope. So, nothing big. My complaints with the Burris scopes are that they are a little heavy/solid, and the eye relief is a little shorter than I would prefer. But no complaints about optical quality, adjustments, etc. Also, the power ring on the Fullfield E1 scopes is pretty stiff, and that can be a positive or negative, depending on your POV.

I have three. They're mounted on a 30-06, .35 Whelen and a .300 Win. Mag. All have held up just fine. The .35 has eaten three Leupolds so far. Two at the range and one on a hunt. I will say the Leupold did fix the scopes but I'll not put them on any rifles with noticeable recoil.
