Say hello to the Henrys
A 22lr and 45 colt
Richracers RUM collection prompted this thread allthough I think the RUM family can "blow away" my Henry family.

Very nice old # 7.
I bet those are a lot of fun to shoot.

They are.
My girls like the 22 and but haven't shot the 45 colt yet. I think they will like how fast the target spins when hit with the 45.
My oldest son is going back to SanDiego on the 12th so tommorrow our family is going to do some shooting. The Henry family will be joining us along with all of the "assault style" rifles and some shotguns for clay shooting.
The following week a lead and copper mining company will be taking our shooting spot for a couple of weeks. And I will also be busy for a couple of weekends reloading to stock back up. I think the reloading is almost as much fun as the shooting.

Well, for the first three shots, anyway. After that, the Henry's might take him!

I was looking at the 44mag but traded in for the 45 colt.
I have ben thinking of doing some cowboy action shooting and just now my wife (bless her heart) just "talked" me into biding on a Beretta Stampede deluxe in 45 colt.

That must've been like begging a dog to chase the cat..... Bet she only asked once or twice   The 45 LC is pretty cool, and if you're going to be shooting cowboy action it's perfect.

I went 44 hoping that the primitive weapons season that just came into effect this year would accomadate a lever rifle with cast bullets and maybe black powder. No dice, just Shotgun, Muzzleloader & bow. So, I bought a Benelli Super Nova with an 18.5" smooth barrel and ghost ring sights. Shoots ok with the winchester hv slugs. I think they are going 1760Fps or so. Shot right over a nice buck twice.....

I am still interested in casting a few 44's, but prefer the JHP from Nosler since it's fast and easy.
