Hi Folks: Maybe this will get the attention of some of your friends and family that think Obama is the best thing since sliced bread. The man is taking down our country and I've lost count of the ways he is doing it but make no mistake.....HE IS DESTROYING THIS COUNTRY.

I've warned everyone of this twice now, but it bears repeating...sell a home after 2012, that's only six short months away from now...and you can add an additional 3.8% sales tax to your closing costs! On a $500,000. sales price that is exactly $19,000. into Obama's Healthcare pocket INSTEAD OF YOURS! When did your house ever visit an Emergency Room for a broken pipe???????????? So why in hell would our Government do this? Why not ask Obama...or better yet, pray to God that the Supremes see fit to kill this monstrosity later this month. BTW, this fee is required whether or NOT YOU HAVE MADE A PENNY OF EQUITY OR PROFIT ON THE SALE!

It also includes the same 3.8% on unearned income,,, as in, on those living off the fixed income from SS. This hurts way more than it helps. Specially the retiree, looking to down size the home. At least that how I read it.

Taxing unearned income is the deepest cut of all! The ends an Armerican tradition extending back at least as long as I can remember where politicians have stayed away from taxing unearned income, particularly for retired people who may have no other income, such as myself. When I have to pay taxes on this sort of thing, it comes straight from my retirement savings. This savings is not much anymore because Obama has already destroyed the liquidity of the largest investment that I have , my home!

Things must be bad, I have to admit I've thought about Western Canada forming it's own country with Manitoba, Sasatchewan, Alberta and B.C. With the way things are going it's not to far fetched to see something similar in the U.S.

It is breath-taking to observe how quickly events move once they are set in motion. Quietly, the rot of socialism sets in as the people are acclimatized to taking rather than giving. Though there were aspects of his government that anticipated what we now see, in hindsight it is evident that the words JFK spoke when he said, "Ask not what your country can do for you--ask what you can do for your country," were a warning of pending national socialism. Eventually, the people demand ever greater bounty from the "government," forgetting that they are the government. At last, because the people have grown accustomed to thinking of the government as a separate entity to the people, they gladly surrender control over their own lives for what they perceive as personal comfort. At last, the nation witnesses a national socialist reign--an oligarchy, much as that of Germany experienced under National Socialism during the thirties and forties. Inertia and lethargy prevail, and it is only with unimaginable exertion that the states can slip the bonds that they created themselves. It is a frightful time as patriots watch the demise of their once great nation descending into the abyss of European socialism and the attendant chains of slavery that will bind the peoples.

Under new guise, the tyranny of which this country fought for Independence is here once again, in so many ways! If Obama had his way,,,it would be a totalitarian dictatorship with him in control.
A blind man can see that Socialism isn't working in Europe,,,,why do they think it will work here. Thing is I believe,,,, they(meaning too many politicians), know it won't work the way they tell their followers. It is all a power and control thing. They want a certain few in charge with the rest being subservient. There will be no middle class in the end, even though their rhetoric is for the middle class expansion!

Look at unemployment in the Socialist countries of Europe and most of them are on the dole at the moment (Spain, Italy, Greece and Ireland) and have over 20% unemployment.

This country's President supports and believes in the Cloward-Piven Amendment which advocates overloading the welfare state costs and forcing the entire country into a Socialist state where the Government pays everyone a salary and taxes all income to the government. Of course this will not work! None of the Communist experiments of the 20th Century worked or were free from vast corruption and/or the deaths of millions.

However Barry the Choom does not care. He has bought into and has been a member of the "New Party" (American Socialist Party) since 2006, at least. Barry is also a supreme narcissist and this may be his undoing because he can not keep his mouth shut and will blow the entire structure of who is behind all this destruction of America's institutions because he wants to take credit for everything, despite the fact that he is a straw man and has no apparent skills or aptitude to be President!

I want to see a list published of who is behind the entire trend of anti-American treasonous behavior in this country and see these people sent back where they came from (e.g. George Soros) or have them removed from office if they are in the public sector and that includes Supreme Court, Justices if need be!

The conversation around peaceable secession has already begun in many states. There are serious discussions about how to extricate a state from the union. I suspect it will not be long before these discussions become far more mainstream and we again test the power of the federal government to maintain an ironclad control over the states. Of course, in parallel, those who produce are beginning in larger and larger numbers to personally extricate themselves and their fortunes from this nation. The day is coming when the USA is no longer, if we do not dramatically alter our course. I believe we have the opportunity to make a course change in 2012, and I hope we do. Interestingly, we've spent maybe the last hundred years or so witnessing this sort of creeping change, and we've spent since Johnson watching the country run through a cycle of leadership that goes, "Hard move to the left, voter revolt, conservative leadership, election of a Republican who is not wholly conservative, voter revolt, election of a Democrat, hard move to the left, repeat." Only Bill Clinton has defied this trend to any degree, and he had a Republican Congress doing all the right things to balance the budget and move the country toward prosperity, so he got elected twice. I'm hoping we can use the current jackass party member in the office to leverage voter disgust and return our course to one of freedom and prosperity via opportunity. If we don't, I fear the next election (2016) will no longer matter. Oh, and if we win this one, we'll still have to remain vigilant and continue to fight this cancer of socialism and liberalism every two years. Otherwise it will creep in again. Strong conservative leadership is the only effective means to control liberalism.

I honestly do not think that Obama really understands the concept of liberty and the responsibilities, cost and consequences of being free and being in charge your own well-being and that of your family and your community. What he understands is the institution of control, government institutionalization of citizens income to allocate and control those who can not do for themselves and legitimizing government control of everything by stripping freedoms from all individuals to assure that his natural constituency is kept satisfied through institutionalization of people's lives and the socialist redistribution of income. His Medicare legislation is the foundation of this shift and congress let it happen without a peep!

Historically, those who resist a socialist revolution are sent to a Gulag and/or are killed for the welfare of state control and to cower the many weak who will not resist a Socialist state. The issue here in the US is that for the first time in our history, many people in this country are being drawn into the socialist way of thinking and have become part of the problem, not part of the solution. The major media has been co-opted and is a player and supporter of this effort to the extent of being a full partner in dissemination of the lie and partner in the programming to accomplish their aims!

It is the most critical issue that I have seen in my nearly 70 years of being a US citizen and watching this creeping socialism take over our democratic institutions since the morals in this country began to deteriorate with the socialist media conversion during the Viet Nam War and the 1970 Democratic Convention in Chicago. I have worked in 30 different countries during my long engineering career and based on what I have seen in other places, we are at the crossroads and had better make a stand for our rights and liberties here or they will be gone soon!

Update: today, Barry the Choom was asking people to not buy birthday and wedding gifts for their friends but to send the money to his campaign instead! This parasite will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Pretty soon he will have a Barry the Choom-VAT tax on all gifts, except to him of course.

I have heard from several of my Christian brothers and sisters that God has temporarily reserved favor from this country to test us as Christians and find out if we are strong enough and committed to being his servants and being Americans to the point which we will take our country back from the Socialist jackels who would deny our freedoms and put Americans into the same government held bondage as is in the third world.

If we do not retain our Constitution which I have seen threatened by many Liberals recently, we will not be a nation Under God and instead will be cursed in being like every other in-bondage and backward country in this secular world!

Not homes Hunter, and you know that. Homes profits up to $2 million are not taxed in this country by the Federal IRS and have been at some level, tax exempt since FDR. Take your disinformation somewhere else where maybe they are stupid enough to believe you!

I said unearned income has been taxed for years; what do you mean, "Not homes"? You admit that home profits, at some level, have been subject to tax for years, and years, and years.

BTW, would you direct my attention to your source of information for your assertion that "home profits up to $2 million are not taxed in this country"?
