Hydroplane Races - Photography

Went to the hydroplane races on the Columbia River at Pateros, Washington this weekend. I'd never photographed those before and wanted to give it a try. The nice thing is that they make several laps of their course, so there are multiple opportunities to get a good photo. I found myself getting better photos after I figured out the framing, the focus etc...

During a break in the racing action, this little bit of brightness happened by. I think it's my favorite photo from the races.
