You did really well with that Fotis.. That is an awesome rifle. I haven't gotten a chance to carry mine this Fall, yet, but it usually gets out and with 225 PT's it is all a guy could want. Love how it hammers deer down, hard. Plus, it is one of the handiest rifles I own.

Welcome to the 358 BLR club Fotis!! As Scott said, it is super handy and hammers what you point it at. I am still shooting 200 grain Winchester silvertips in mine, so I don't bother to reload for it. I do have a die and did make up a load using Vit. 135 that shoots a 200 grain round nose really well. My son thinks it is his now that I went to the 45-70.

BTW my records indicate I have taken an antelope with one loaded with the 225 Sierra BT at 225 yards.

I have tried TAC with 225 and 250gr bullets in my BLR. Velocity was excellent with no compression but accuracy was not there at any speed. I have had excellent results using 46.0gr of IMR-3031 and 225gr SGKs. I now use 52.0gr of W748(SJB's load) with either the 225 SGK or 225 PT. Good speed and accurate. As always, work up slow.

The Dr. recommended I try the TAC with lighter bullets.

Nice - I like BLR's, and that one is chambered for a mighty fine cartridge.

Buddy of mine has taken at least a dozen elk with his, along with a couple of black bear and a few mule deer. It works.

Fotis, 52gr W748, 225 PT, CCIBR2, WW cases, nets about 2450 from my 358, and is ACCURATE. I tried Varget, H4895, A2520 and some others, but nothing beat W748 for accuracy, all were about the same for speed. It'll take a little more than 50 grains of W748 to get up over 2400 than most books state, probably as the WW cases have a little more volume?
