Talk about shocked when I found out I had drawn with only a .35% chance of drawing! Not only that, its only about 50 miles from home so I can hunt lots of days.

Man, that is phenomenal! What a great opportunity. This will be a wonderful thread to watch. We're all pulling for you. (y)

That's awesome, congratulations.
What rifle and load are you planning on using?

I'm not certain on the rifle yet, probably this new 300 Win Mag that I have been playing with so much. I'm pretty confident out to 700 yards with it.

Seems like a fine choice of rifles, and I hope you don't have to take a 700 yard shot on your ram!

Outstanding!
Keep us posted on your preparation and hunt.

HD 680 should be fantastic. Oh my they take some huge rams out of there every year. I hope you get one of those beasts!!

If I drew a tag like that my .300 WM is definately the rifle I would take. It's the most proven rifle I have for long range accuracy and lethality. Good luck, sounds like a blast.

Awesome luck on your draw. Enjoy your hunt! We'll all be rooting for you to harvest a beautiful ram!

Incredible! Good luck and looking forward to the storie and a few pictures? What are you going to use for a weapon?

I did some scouting last weekend and saw a nice group of 27. It had a couple legal rams but nothing spectacular. Legal is 3/4 curl here. Season opens September 15.

Sounds as if you are investing the time necessary to ensure a successful hunt. We all are pulling for you to tag a dandy!
