I bought this for the FUN factor: Savage 93R BTVS 17HMR

This is for my training, using a thumb hole stock. Also my son and I have a blast shooting his 17HMR so I figured why not.
I've wanted to try my hand at Camo Paint and this is going to be my first. The stock on the one I'm getting has some "Rose" in it (Red). Not too much but I don't think I can leave it that way. We'll see.
We have plenty of ground squirrels and other varmints with fur to hunt with this gun.
I'm sure I will have close to a thousands rounds thru it before hunting season starts this fall.
I've never used any thing but a "conventional" stock before and I feel like a fish out of water carrying my 243 with one (Thumb Hole) this last fall. I really like it, but I want it to feel natural so my hand will go "INTO" the stock properly on a quick shot if I need to.
