I wonder if the buck had continued to stand there if he would have continued shooting with the same hold. This pretty much reinforces "my" perception of the "average" hunter. Wonder what they were feeding? Corn?
first off what kids are handling guns without supervision? why 2 shots and risk that beast. elmer fud finally got his revenge. change the locks on gun cabinets dummy!
I'm thinking that it is an easy excuse to say that. I wonder if he was in an elevated blind and did not compensate for it. I don't think it would be off that much. But actually a bit scary to think how many hunters are like that. Don't properly sight in or recheck after dropping a rifle.
That was a funny coincidence that the rabbit stopped the bullet intended for that nice Whitetail buck. It doesnt seem like their stand was at such an extreme angle that he would have to hold low. Unzeroed rifle and doubtlessly a little buck fever messed up that opportunity, lucky for us we still got a humorous video to watch out of the deal!
But on the same token, its videos like this one that makes the anti gunners fold their arms and say told ya so. Oh well they can pucker up...everyone makes mistakes. We just got to make less by being better trained and disciplined.
