Just thinking of the many possibilities a LRAB, .257 bullet, would offer for my 257 Roy. Hmmm, a 110-115 gr, .500 + BC bullet at 3400-3500 fps!!! Oh, the possibilities.

Well............................

Nosler intends to introduce more calibers in the future. The .257 cal will be added. We need to tell Nosler what we want for bullets and weights, they do listen. I think a 115 gr ABLR would fit the bill nicely.

I would hope that Nosler would consider a 110 Grain AB. The reasons for this are that they already have the design work and tooling done for the 110 AB and looking at the ogive shape of the ABLR leads me to believe that a high BC of .450+ may be easy to attain and could be done on the existing tooling of the 110 gr ABLR. The compelling reason for including the 110 bullet is that it may better meet marketing need for other caliber products like the .250 Savage and certainly the .257 Roberts with its 1:10 twist and 3000 velocity which is already attainable in the .257, 110 gr ABLR ammo product, presently on the market.

Winchester is currently chambering the .257 Roberts in Model 70's and the cartridge is still regarded very favorably by handloaders in the US and Canada. Any bullet, of course that works for the .257 Roberts, will slide right into use in the .25-06 which is a very popular caliber in this country.

That solution only grabs hold and benefits two calibers (.25-06 and .257 Wea). Why not put some life back in the others? Nearly all .257 Roberts are chambered for 1:10 twist which will handle the 115 RN but is not ideal for the long ogive bullet.

I'd like to see a 110-115 ABLR.. Be real slick in my wife's 25-06 or a 257 Weatherby as well...

Already have it for the 115g I would think?

My vote goes for 115 with as much over .5 as possible

Agree. Love the 115 Ballistic Tips. A high BC LRAB would be great!
