I got the break in on my STW started today, and boy am I excited already!
These are shot # 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 :shock: The shot to the left is number 5, and I pulled it. The first two shots of this group were in the same hole! I couldn't tell where I hit with a 20X scope. The load is 71.5gr H4350, 215m, 140 BT @ 3.650. Should be doing close to 3300, but I didn't set up the chrony. This was a random load, I had lots of H4350 and 140 BTs so I used them. Never expected this! The barrel was cleaned after every shot for the first six, then every two for the rest. All shots were shot from an oiled barrel.
I'm very impressed with the benchmark barrel. After the first six shots, it took two wet patches to get all the black out of the barrel. The third patch (dry) came out clean. This thing shoots, and cleans like a dream!
