Well, many people predicted that the Obama administration would institute an assault weapons ban. Intuitively, the shooting community has known this and sales of black rifles and ammunition has escalated dramatically since the elections. Now, it looks like the AW ban will happen. With Democrat control of the senate and congress, it would appear to be an almost certainty.

AG Holder is requesting the ban (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=6960824&page=1). It will not surprise me if an ammunition tax and/or ban follows. What happens in the states will undoubtedly have an effect on us in Canada.

OK boys- I got this from my Mother-in-law. Yes thats right- sweet wonderful lady that she is, to my knowlege never had an interest in a firearm in her life. Just grew up with them as tools around the farm the way most of you did. If she's worried maybe we better pay attention!!
