JES rebore

Was going over some old posts from when I was out hunting so was curious as to what you decided. Be neat to see how it all ends up in the end. Nothing wrong with a 257 Bee if that's what ends up happening.

Man I have been on his website like 10 times this month. Trying to decide to make the 308 into 338 Fed, 358, 375 raptor. Man these decisions are rough!

Same here Coop. I’ve got a 760 in 270 I can’t decide on myself.

JES did an excellent job reboring my Savage 99 .308 to .358. I have a Browning 1895 in 30-06 that I never shoot. I'm thinking about having them rebore it to 35 Whelen.

I have an older, beat up 99 in the safe I have been thinking about making into a 338 Federal myself. Just for grins. I figured if it shoots after the rebore I could coat it in something weatherproof and it'd be a neat rifle for bucks and bears.

Ok now I have a question cause I may pick up an 30-06 to rebore, I was thinking 338-06 or 35When, the thing is it only has a 20" barrel. What are your thoughts will the 20" barrel be too short for those cartridges?

I had an 18” barreled 35 whelen. 250s @ 2400fps wasn’t difficult to achieve.

I’d do it all day long.
