Handsome rifle! Hope it shoots well and you like it.

Life's too short to live it without a Whelen in the safe, Jake!

Geez you guys are a tough crowd. A 338 Whelen Ackley Improved won't work?

No Jake.
Although it is a fine round, its not a Whelen.

I dunno, JD. I think the case can be made that anything based on the '03 case could be called a Whelen. Doesn't .300 Whelen sound a lot SEXIER than ".30-06?" And the .25-06...I know it's been called the .25 Neidner, but I say it's a .257 Whelen. And the .280, that's really the 7mm Whelen.

So, I'd give you a pass on that one Jake. But you really do need a .35 in the safe, ya know.

I thought about a Whelen and bought a 9.3x74R Number One instead. Don't need another thumper at my age.

Congratulations on the 35 Whelen in a CDL, I have owned 2 and still own one in a 270win. The ones that I have shot and loaded for truly are shooters.
I am happy you joined the 35 Whelen clan :) now that we are almost family I have one question. Isn't that bolt on the wrong side of the stock  .
The 225gr. AccuBond is just made for the 35 Whelen. We are looking forward to a range report with photos??

Blessings,
Dan
