Just for fun....

It should be criminal not to have a quarter bore in there. :) A 257 Roberts No. 1A or 25/06 M48 would be perfect.

Fotis, a 6.5-284 in a long action or a 260, 6.5x47, or a creedemore in a short action. build it a bit heavy, put a good repeatable scope on it and meet me in Douglas for a match. you can thank me later.

You NEED a 280 rem, a 6.5X55 walking sporter built on a 96 action with a pencil barrel, butterknife bolt and real purdy wood, a rem md 8 or 81 in .35 rem, and a Savage 99 .250 Sav.

Maybe a Shulz and Larson .308 Norma mag since you are woefully short of 30 cals  .

A Model 94 Winchester in .38-55.

Sicko! I like the way you think!

Maybe a 25-20 and or a 32-20?

They were also chambered in the Model 94. My stupid computer did not update and show my posts. Sorry for the multiple post!

They were originally chambered in the Model 94. I collected Model 94 variations and calibers.

Here's a few more REAL old school picks.

Win 76 (? model number, 70 something, not a winchester guy) in .44-40
Rem Rolling Block 7X57 or 30-40 krag
Win 95 in .405win
Savage 99 .22 Hi-Power
Martini-Henry sporter .303brit
Sharps .45-110

Another tikka t3 Lite in 300 Win Mag. With a 200 Gr. PT at 3000 FPS you would think your shooting your 338 and feel right at home.
