I just picked up a Remington 700 VLS 22-250.

This should be a sweet shooter.

A couple of years ago, Remmy offered this model in 6mm Rem., and I wish I would have bought one or two. I think they discontinued it, undoubtedly because nobody buys 6mms. Arrgh!

Wonderful guns!!!!!!!!

Might need free-floating though

I am going to shoot it for a bit. Break it in and then do some load workup's. Then if it is not shooting like I am used to, I will get it setup with a free floating barrel.

I will be good right now and see what it does before I go crazy. This week one of my Nikon's should be in for it.

abhunter,
Congrats on the new rifle.....What do you plan on using it for?
Some good ole 55gr B-tips aught to be just about right for that ??

BK, your correct... there is a little hole in the wall gun shop here that has one of the 6mm's still on the shelf.

I love the 22-250, what a round indeed and you have it on a great platform.

That is a bueaty for sure! Gotta love the way a good rich brown lam stock looks.

Spill! Which one? How much?

Hi Pop,

I got it brand new for 600.00. The store is in Oregon.

I can't wait to load up some rounds and take this out.

Congratulations on your new VLS. I have the same rifle in 22-250 as well. She shoots .5 MOA with 50 gr and 55 gr BT's. Deadly on coyotes, but heavy.

Sweet,

You are killing me. I am waiting for my glass to come in. I have waited 4 months for it to come in.

POP,

Crud, sorry for not responding sooner......
I cant ever remember the name of the place... always have to go to Vihtavouri's page and look up their dealers.....The place is on South College.... and don't know the price....

I was in there last weekend looking around and asked if they had any primers. I got told they had primers, but would only sell them if a box of bullets were purchased @ the same time and only for the # of bullets purchased......

What city? My cousin in the Springs is getting married, and I may need to make a side trip!

Very nice. Bright scope and it should serve you well.
My 700 VLS has a Nikon Monarch UCC 5.5-16.5x5x44 with a duplex reticle.
