Well Sue must have been a very good girl this year because Santa Claus brought her a new deer rifle.
She was wanting something a little lighter than her Nosler M48 Heritage for deer hunting in the blind.
The Kimber 84M Hunter in 6.5 Creedmoor tips the scale at 5 lbs., 7 ozs. Mounted a VX-6 3-18x44mm which should put it right around 7 lbs.
I need to get a load worked up this week so Sue can break it in on a doe during the late doe season.

Jim, those are great rifles. I am sure she will enjoy hunting with it. So what becomes of the Nosler M48 in 280 AI with the outstanding wood? Does it become the dedicated elk and moose rifle?

Hopefully, a load will come together for you very quickly and Sue will be able to use it during your late doe season.

Oh I forgot to ask if you needed an adopted son? I would volunteer and you could buy me a nice rifle. LOL :)o) Always a comedian in the crowd :)o)!

I took the Kimber to the range to get a quick zero.
I might be on to something here with the 129 gr ABLR and RL17.

Ya' think? That is truly encouraging, I should imagine.

Sue broke in her new Kimber 84 M this evening.
First shot fired!
