This is actually my buck from last year, but I thought I would go ahead and post it since I'm new to this forum and I recovered the 130 grain BT from it. Was shooting a .270 win. Not the biggest deer I've ever shot, but was happy to fill the tag after 4 days of hard hunting and only seeing one buck (spike) before this one.

I shot him angling towards me. The shot entered the shoulder and came to rest underneath his hide on the other side halfway towards his hind leg. I ran down the ridge where I had shot him, and put another in his neck to put him down. Range on the first shot was about 150 yards.

Nice buck, congratulations. The 130 gr BT looks like a perfect mushroom!
Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I heard that those Nosler Ballistic Tips only EXPLODE when they hit game...guess not.

Congrats on the buck, thanks for the pics.

Congrats on a nice looking buck !!

That's pretty much what I'd expect to see out of a B-tip... have yet to experience one of them coming appart....
+1 with JD on the mushroom.....

I hope it was clear that I was joking.

No worries, its clear but there are a lot of failures on another forum.

The BT is an awesome bullet. I have used it on WT Deer and Caribou with great success. I have only recovered one, 7mm 140 gr BT from a WT deer.

I really like the ballistic tip for deer and antelope sized creatures. I plan to start handloading this winter and may try the AccuBond instead, but I've taken several mule deer and one antelope with the 130 gr. bt in my .270 and they have always perform very well.
I may try the bt in my .204 for coyotes as well even though I know they are a tad more frangible in that caliber.

Thats good work on the BT. I get sick of hearing people talk smack about them. I use them exclusively for deer and antelope. They are the best performing bullet I have ever seen on medium sized game. Congrats on that buck. Thanks for the pix.
