Who has one...I got mine and have been reading about it...to cold to go out and shoot.

I had two Leupold 3.5 X 10 scopes with the B&C reticle and they were great scopes. I had them on a 7mm Wby Mag and a 300 Wby Mag. I shot both guns at a gong at a measured 400 yards and that 400 yard mark in those scopes was right on.

Those scopes are a great size and look good on hunting rifles. They have no AO adjustment which is probably a good thing.

However, after looking at my dad's Leupold 4.5 X 14 LR scopes with the same reticle, I sold both of the 3.5 X 10's and bought the 4.5 X 14 X 40 LR
model. It is a bit large, has a side focus, etc. etc. But the clarity is amazing and that B&C reticle just flat works. Two years in a row my dad has killed antelope at over 400 yards with his.

You should really like the 3.5 X 10.

Thank you for your reply.....so as it warms up I'll find out! Thanks again.

I have one of the Leupold VXIII 3.5-10X40, and I have used it on two rifles so far. The B&C reticle is useful too.

My instructions tell me to sight in at 200yrds, then match the bullet/caliber to a chart, select one of two triangles. I only wonder how it will place as the bullet I shoot currently in 06 is a 150gr and does not really get close to 3,000 fps. I have no doubt of the quality of the scope..I just am looking for other peoples expieriances matching rounds to the scope or do you guys just shoot the gun and find the zero's IE: main cross hair 200yds, second intercept 278yds, third 350yds......Just interested in what you guys found.....thanks again..

You may have to adjust the power ring to match the reticle to your trajectory. You might want to give Leupold a call on this. Also, knowing your loads MV would be helpful.

I know that my loads for that round don't chrony out to 3000 fps....I have the data upstairs for the round as far MV , Maybe I can get it to work at the designated ranges by power ring adjustment off the triangles....I am not concerned greatly, just looking for your input... and I do appreciate your response...to me it was a lot of money to spend and I am just kinda wanting to talk about the scope and how you guys sighted in and if your rounds went close to the aiming points....thanks JD338

I'm here to help.

Having said that, I have not used the B&C reticle. I do understand how it works. I think you are just going to have to play with it to find the right setting.
If you have the actual MV, call Leupold customer service and they will get you on target quickly.

You can also use the ballistic calculator here to get a feel of what your load will do at longer ranges. Go to the Advanced calculator and plug in your load data.

Let me know how it works out for you.
