So I mentioned awhile back my Swarovski NL pure 10x42 got stolen someplace between Boise and Port Elizabeth RSA. I bought those at a great deal four years ago. Kinda went into shock when I saw what they were going for now. Recently sent an old scope off to Leupold to be repaired. A 1980s vintage scope. It could not be repaired, offered me a similar scope as a replacement. Happy about that but offered why don’t you send me the Binos instead as I’ve already replaced the broken scope with a Vx5. Well, true to Leupold customer service guarantee we had a deal. Given the price differential everyone came out ahead.
I wish I had the swarovskis to compare right now. I swear these new Leupold are better than my memory of the Swarovski on my test range. Top of the ridge is right at 3 miles and 3k feet higher than the house. The detail I’m getting along the edges is just fantastic.
They are not cheap, but they are pretty dang good.
