Leupy Ruger ringmount q

Thinking about trying a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 on a Ruger M77 Varmint... one of the transition models with the SS barrel and blued action in a laminate stock. Looking at getting Leupold 30mm ringmounts for it, but have no idea on what height to get. Any idea?

You should be able to "back through" the calculations. Vortex will post the scope dimensions on their website. Leupold will post the ring heights on theirs. Just measure up and out on your rifle and you should be able to get the answer. If you run into trouble, holler at me and I'll mock it up on paper and help you figure it out.

Thanks... I was hoping somebody had something close. I wanted to order something before I flew home, and the patient is 933 miles away. I'll play with the dimensions and see if I can't avoid punching my laptop.
