Bummer on the lack of the preferred ammo. That Winchester PP will getter done also. Then you can develop loads with the Sierra 225gr. It does well in my 35 Whelen. You're going to like the performance.

Love that 225 SGK for deer/bear sized stuff. Opens wide and so far I haven’t had anything get over about 15 yards. Between the 358 and the Whelen it’s really good.

Yes, looking forward to the on-game performance with the 225 SGK in the 358 Win.
Should be as effective as other SGK bullets used on other big game from other rifle cartridges (7mm Rem Mag and STW, and in the 338-06).
Still need to tag a deer or antelope with the SGK in my Model 88 in 250 Savage that is shooting so accurately (0.209" group @ 100 yards!).
