Can some of you guys share your load data on this as well as some real live experiences maybe on Whitetail Deer. Also please include the tube length 22" etc.

Thank-you
Don

I am about to range test my loads in my 7600 pump 22 inch tube. I have 200 grain AccuBond loaded up with rl 15and h4895. Waiting for ok weather

Fotis, I'm anxious to here how that puppy shoots. I haven't tried to load the 200 AB in the M700 35 Whelen just in my M70 35 Whelen AI.

Thanks for the replies.

Fotis, please keep me in the loop I'm giving it strong consideration to go that way for the up coming 2016 deer season.

Thanks,
Don

Nosler says I could have gone up to 59 gr of IMR 8208 but I didn't see the need to go past 57 gr. Last fall both the AccuBond and 200 gr TTSX grouped right around 1 - 1 1/4 " at 250 yards, the same charge of 57 gr with the TTSX is slightly faster than the 200 gr AccuBond but not by much. I used Rem 9 1/2 M with the Barnes.

It certainly is worth a try Fotis. I tried H 4895 in mine with the 200's but it wasn't accurate, of course it may work fine in yours. Haven't tried RL 15 yet in the new gun, going to save it for the 225's, worked well in the old gun though.

Jerry,
Now you got me thinking about 8208 powder too!! I like the 225 I shoot currently but a 200 going that fast is interesting. What length barrel is on your 35 Whelen?

Don

Mine is 24" it certainly is worth a try in yours. My groups were a bit bigger at 58 gr but still decent and at 59 gr they opened up. I'm happy at 57 gr with the AccuBond and TTSX, going to have to try those 200 gr Hornady bullets Dan sent me some day with IMR 8208.

I tried IMR 8208 in both and 35 WHELEN and the 35AI and they do work good. I settled on CFE223 with the 200gr AB in the AI. It's a ball powder and gives good case fill and load density. 66grs in the AI will get you 2947fps with a 200gr AB out of a 24" barrel with ease. And Nosler says you can get 2918fps with 59.0grs IMR8208 out of the standard 35 Whelen and 24" barrel.

At 59 gr I did break 2900 fps. CFE 223 does look very interesting though........

I did pretty well with IMR4064 and 200 HDYs. Those went a little over 2900'ish for me. It was a FULL case but dropped with a long tube it settled nicely and it was very accurate. I have some 200 ABs loaded right now with RL15 and will report back when I get a chance to shoot them. Betting on 2850-2900 in my gun though.

Oh yeah. They are up as well. Just need some time.

I have the time but my range is still snowed in and can't get to it. The club cleans the skeet range but not the rifle range road and the GMC 4X4 goes good in the snow but I don't want to get stuck in a drift.

Any you Whelen boys ever clock good old Remington Factory ammo, 35 Whelen loaded with 200 Core loks in a 22" barrel? My Dad used to shoot those, killed deer pretty good too. Just curious what speed they are going.
