load development info

yes I have many reloding manuals and yes it is for my 257 ackley
I just cant find a load that it seems to like I have tried varget -IMR 4895 and IMR 4831 with 75-115gr bullets.
the best load I have shot has been a fireforming load (.246"@100yds)
thats my luck didnt weigh any thing just throw the powder seated the bullet to touching the lands and blasted away
the bullet was 87gr speer hp what I am trying to do is find a good deer load with 115gr b-tips and a good varmint load with 75-85gr bullets
I might be trying to get unrealistic groups but I think .5" groups @100yds is realistic how aboutr you?

Did you see my response to your other post...regarding Varget?
I'm no expert but Ive had good luck with Fed210M primers when I'm lightin powders in the 35-55 grains of weight range.
My 25-284 has close to the same case capacity as your RobyAI.
It seems to prefer H4831sc under the light pills 75-90 grainers.
RL-19 works well for the 100s to 115s
H-1000 has shown some promise for the 115-120s.
The 4350 powders IMR or H are old stand bys in the regular Roberts case.
Nosler #5 manual has some good load data for the 257 Roberts AI.
If you dont already have one get a good log book ...Lyman makes a good one that sells for less than $4. Decide on what components you want to use and keep detailed notes in your log.
I 'd be willing to bet that once you find what you rifle likes it will be harder for you to prodcue .5" groups day in and day out than it will be for your loads to.
Good Luck.
feel free to email me if you want to discuss this further.
