Hi all
I would like to load 110gn Accubonds in front of ar 2209 but in there on line reloading data only lists 100gn starting at 47gns and 117gn starting at 44gns. Do i start at one of these starting loads or is there a starting load for 110gn Accubonds useing ar 2209.

Welcome to the forum Species-
You will love the 110 AB in the 25-06. AR2209 has an almost exact burn rate with IMR4350, so if you start at the beginning (lowest) charge listed for 4350 you will be fine. Work up in 5% increments until you find the sweet spot or start seeing pressure signs. Good luck

Welcome to the forum.

Slow powders work well in the 25-06. RL 22, RL 25 and Retumbo are top picks.
In a pinch, you can use the 115-117 gr load data for the 110 gr AB.
Remember to start low and work up.

I just checked the Nosler web-site and looked for load listings for the 25-06 and 110 grain bullets which I would assume is their wonderful AccuBond. Here are a couple powders they used.

H4831SC: 47 - 51 grs. with the max load showing a velocity of 3131 fps.

IMR4350: 45.5 - 49.5 grs. with a max load showing a velocity of 3181 fps.

IMR4831: 47 - 51 grs. with a max load showing a velocity of 3177 fps.

Personally I have been loading in my wife's 25-06 and 120 gr. Partitions using 49.0 grains of IMR4350. It really shoots great! I have just started playing with the 110 gr. AccuBond and have not came up with a load for it as of yet. Just seems like I've been too busy but both H4831SC and IMR4350 both showed some promise. I just have to tweak it a bit.

Welcome and I hope this helps. Their website with load listings is always a good place to start because they will post new information as soon as they work up loads for new bullets where-as it is about every 3 years or so that they come out with a new manual.

Thanks for that.
Was thinking along that lines imr4350.
Not looking max velocity just a load that will hit the same spot all time if i do my part.

Best powder I have found for the 110 AB with my 25-06 is R-19. Might not be quite as fast as some of the slower burning powders, but it is the most accurate in my rifle.

impossible to beat velocity and accuracy of RL 17 in the 25.06 at least in mine anyways

I really ought to try that RL-17 someday...

Have never loaded the 110 Accubonds. I do load 100 grain bullets sometimes, no problem reaching 3300 - 3400 fps w/H4350.

Usually though I run the 115's, and they're doing about 3190 - 3200 fps w/a healthy dose of Retumbo. The .25-06 has become a real favorite of mine as a multi-purpose coyote & mule deer rifle. Excellent accuracy, excellent on-game performance, and little recoil. Every year I end up grabbing it when mule deer season rolls around.

Regards, Guy

my younger brother uses the 115 partions with IMR 4350 @ 47.0 and loves it this spring he killed a 300# russian boar and it was a one shot DRT.

It's been a while since I've loaded for a 25-06 but out of a Remington Mnt. Rifle 22" barrel and a 700 BDL 24" barrel. I just went back to my notes and generally speaking the best loads came from IMR 4831 but the most accurate ones a little slower though were from IMR 4350.

Hope this helps a bit.

Jim1 AB- I got your PM but it's late and I'm too tired to try and figure out how to send a PM back. It's different from how it was before the web-site change. I'll try again, thanks.

I am from the land down under.
Thanks for the link.
Will be shooting Fallow Deer.
They are equal to your mule deer.
A 25-06 should stop them in there tracks.
