Looking for a quick load for 130 ttsx in 30-06,

Question RE IMR4320 and QL vs. developed load. Developed load in this case equates to no traditional pressure signs of increased bolt lift or primer pocket looseness, after multiple firings.

My developed and chronographed load with IMR4320 gives a good bit more velocity than the same powder charge theoretically gives via QL inputs for my rifle and fired case.

I know where I WANT to be on this issue. For a hunting load in the field I want to bring as much to bear as possible in a safe load, which I feel is what I have done from years of safe loading experience in working up this load.

Where I SHOULD be on this is what I am searching for.

Can a safely developed load that exceeds QL predictions truly be called a safely developed load? Are there such things as "fast" barrels that we hear about?

Love my 130 TTSX load. It is fast, accurate as shown by the 300 yd group in a previous post above, safe by traditional pressure signs, and did I say accurate?

Thoughts? Thanks guys.

You don't own a 30/06?

I'm afraid we can't be friends anymore........

Sorry Heath.... I'll reapply after I find an 06.....

That's better, I like this positive thinking and that sounds like you are going to get one so we can still be friends.

I will find myself one. Got a great idea of how I'd like to set it up as well. I think I'm ready to try one.

I find this difficult to believe. Is there a second moon in the sky? Did summer just extend by three months? Something dramatic just happened! Scotty, ready to try a 30-06? Hoo, boy, I need to find some aspirin.

I threw this load together with 52.5 grns r-17. 165 ab, I might have to chase done some ab for her axis . 7/16 " at hundred yard.

That is fine accuracy. I wouldn't be uncomfortable hunting most anything with that load.

Tried varget and h-4895, the later with 51.5 grns still speed was up with 3115 fps but a great group with holes touching except the one I accidentally loaded with different case making it a 1 1/8" group, sorry no pic because I forgot to pull target, rain destroyed, but I will have to confirm because of my mistake any way. Recoil seamed fine, so if it confirms as a good load, then ill load up rest for her to use. The varget was still pretty fast @3025 fps with a group of 1 1/2" bested , I might play with primers, but not likely .
